Beautiful car, I could buy one cash tomorrow / Monday but I am too cheap.... Enjoy the ride, it's a beauty

Boss. Well done, sir.

AWD with a Hemi? thats a very nice ride, pay no mind to the Dodge naysayers, that company has truly upped its game in the last 7-8 years.

I bought a 2009 Lexus ES 350 new and it's is a great car.

But man what a ****ing waste of money.

I'm thinking of selling it and getting me a cash car for 3,000.

**** it.

I recently had to buy a new vehicle and when I called my insurance agent to give him a heads up that I would be transferring my policy, he warned me about the rates on the Dodge Chargers. I thought it was interesting that he mentioned a specific model. Car looks awesome! Just curious about the insurance.

It's just $10 more a month for the same rate that I had on my old car.

Think about this homey with the new car: if you took your car payment and put it away into a savings account, you'd be able to buy a nice car for cash in a short amount of time.

JMHO of course. But I hate to see people get straddled down with bad debt.

This is true and I have considered that route. The problem that I am having was, my old car was still worth a lot of value, (trade-in) and I also checked the increase of insurance and what not.

Basically, it's around the neighborhood of $300 a month, so it's not too terribly bad. I also made sure that I still have enough revenue after all the bills are paid off (including the car payment), and I'm still sitting pretty good.

Great. I don't know why my agent even brought it up then. I ended up buying a 2013 GMC Sierra Denali. It's a nice truck, but sometimes I wish I owned a sports car just for the sheer joy of driving one. Dodge has really upped its game the last few years. Enjoy.

I drive a car worth $1700 in kelly blue book and I make pretty good money. It's hard to justify a nice car when I have a wife and two kids at home and i'm responsible for every bill. Kinda sucks she gets the new SUV and I drive a rust bucket but our kids do come number one.

Seeing these threads makes me a bit jealous since I'd love to have a nicer car. Let alone a new car like this.

Good looking whip, player.

Heh. I've considered this route. And I kind of have for my work pickup. I paid cash for one with a salvage title three years ago. I think it was in the $13K range and was a pretty nice pickup. Of course, I've got some wear on it, and the country roads are not kind to any vehicle. And it is afterall a farm pickup and I'm trying to keep the return there (it has done really well for me). I like it, it's home, it does what I want it to do, and I've got it set up like I want. It's a good pickup.

But I bought my wife a car and we kept her old car around as a backup. And GODDAMN they are a lot more pleasurable to drive than my old sex wagon.

It is tough for me to dissent from the numbers game, but for people with long commutes like my wife, there is some value to having a better car. Putting a dollar amount on the value is tough, but as long as I'm fiscally able to I'm going to keep her in a nicer car. I'm sure the new car and the backup car are nowhere near as nice as some on here, but there is definitely a value to driving a nice driving car vs some old pickup. $30,000 of value? Probably not, but there is some value.
