the Redskins version of the read-option is a flavor of the month, I do agree

but the way the Seahawks and 49ers simply work it in is here to stay

Russell Wilson is literally the perfect QB.

Aside from being 4'9". You can't call someone under 6 foot tall the perfect specimen at QB.

Mike Tomlin is ok. I have a hard time giving too much credit to a guy who took over that Steelers team. Pretty sure Ben Roethlisberger and a team loaded with defensive talent could have made me look good as a head coach.

Sure, and Russell ****ing Wilson is the perfect QB. Great take, Dane.

Yes I can.

I guarantee he is considered the best QB in football within the next 2 years.

I think he wins a Super Bowl next year.

Seahawks go 13-3 next year, at worst, and Russell Wilson wins Super Bowl MVP.

He MAY even battle for regular season MVP as well...

ThaVirus 03-19-2013 11:35 PM

When I saw Hootie had commented in this thread, I knew he'd be fellating Russel Wilson LMAO

ThaVirus 03-19-2013 11:38 PM

You have to give the nod to the 9ers as far as expectations in the NFC next season, but I'd put the Seahawks right behind them. Then probably the Giants, the Pack (solely because of Rodgers), and the Falcons bringing up the rear.

Barring a huge turnaround, which is actually very likely, everyone else is just fodder

ThaVirus 03-19-2013 11:42 PM

If I were a betting man, I'd say the Seahawks take home 11 wins next season, give or take 1. 13-3 at worst is just a bit too steep for me. They'll have two games against the 9ers and I wouldn't count the Rams as easy Ws either. I think Fisher will probably bring them to a respectable 8-8 next season. I haven't looked at the rest of their schedule, but 13 wins is just tough. Really tough.

Not sure if you're actually serious. Russell Wilson isn't really that great and out of all notable rookie qb's from this season I expect him to fall back the most from what he did last year.

Care to make a wager on such a bold guarantee? If not, reword your post so you don't sound like such a drooling reerun.

Not a Thomlin fan. Playing Big Ben when he was hurt and having already had who knows how many concussions. With shit for backups. When the Chiefs go through everyone else's castoffs for years? Not a fan.

Consistent1 03-20-2013 05:31 AM

it's tough to defend that shit if done properly. That is why Tomlin is pissed. Brady and Manning aren't just automatically winning every game these days. Football is football though. I thought the Ravens would be done quickly last year and look at what happened.

Consistent1 03-20-2013 05:34 AM

I do think the 13-3 Seahawks thing is possible. Wilson is really much better than people expected. Tomlin seems like a cool guy overall, but the we're gonna hit you shit is laughable, that IS the ****ing game.

oh ya. coaching the Steelers is simple. the toughest thing to remember is letting other teams win the championship more often than your team does.
