Having only numbers and no names is not a sacred tradition to be saved and cherished. It is an old moldy relic when teams could only afford a few shirts, and players were valueless cogs who came and went and had to use the old guy's shirt because the owner was too cheap to buy a new one, or even just sew a new name on.

Only a few players transcend to the point where you only need the number. #5 on Royals blue, thats George Brett, etc. For every other random dude in every sport, I want their damned name on the back, living in the stone-age is not cool or superior, it is fan-unfriendly and annoying.
#5 in pinstripes was pretty good too.

Ugh. Wish we weren't starting off the series with Davis, but oh well. Our offense really has to produce today.

You know what I hate? These frontrunning, butt sniffing wannabe's that have never even BEEN to NYC that are Yankee fans. Poseurs. If you're at the game tonight, don't take any crap off anybody in Yankee gear. If they are an actual New Yorker, tell them the Mets are NYC's real baseball team.

If they're a poseur, just smack them around.

Oh, and I wouldn't waste time booing Canoe.
