Losing to a team like this plus all of the injuries we have, there's no way we even sniff at beating DET. The wind that was in our sails is no longer there. Not when you lost 2/3 to the worst team in the league and score only 2 runs in those losses. That's bullshit and that won't get it done. Having Johnson, Getz, won't get it done. Signing players like Emilio Bonifacio or Jamey Carroll isn't going to get anything accomplished. Wade Davis won't get it done despite his somewhat recent success as a starter...IMO he needs to go to the pen.

Despite this surge from the Royals, Ned and DM don't deserve to be back. Ned ****s with the lineup WAAAAY too much. He makes Herm Edwards look conservative. It was fun Royals. Hopefully next season we don't lose 14 of 18 in a bad stretch in May (or whatever it was) and we're not in this uphill climb this time next season. Hopefully we're at the top of the mountain looking down. Plus we need to call up our 2 good arms in Zimmer and Ventura.
