dude the doctors will just give out the stuff without consequence

that's why so many people end up hooked on them

the doctors just keep on giving them for an extended period

the doctors also routinely give in to the pain seekers - my wife sees this every day

you're better off eating weed brownies

that crap is scary. I had a bottle + 1 refill for a broken hand and 2 cracked ribs after my motorcycle crash. those things do not F around. I could totally see how someone would get hooked on them. I remember taking them for the first time and sort of 'blanking out' watching TV for 5 hours. Couldn't even feel myself sitting on the couch.
scary.

Not sure if this really fits with the topic, but this thread reminded me of something I saw on Real Sports last night.

yeah, I tried my damned-est after that to avoid them as much as I could tolerate. Don't even think I finished the bottle. I just sucked it up 90% of the time, and avoided them.

they were crazy potent. I think it was Hydrocodone; it was about 13 years ago, so I'm not 100% sure.

You are right. I always just called up my doctor and they would refill for me but I never took them as prescribed I took extra and frequent them so I assumed if I took them as prescribed it wouldn't be as bad.

Some people don't like the opiate buzz... but it's not just that you don't feel anything when you're on opiates. It's that it's completely euphoric at the same time. It erases your stress and cares. Comfortably numb is the best way to describe it... though I actually get a "rush" of energy as well from them, especially if I drink.

To me, it's similar to when ecstasy first starts coming on. Euphoria and energy.

That being said, people have different preferences. Lots of my friends love them some xanac, klonopin, and other benzos. I hate them.

And I should add: this is all based on my past.. not my current life. I'm pretty much alcohol only at this point.

There's such a stigma attached to Marijuana that people will take that bullshit because:

1. "It's legal"

2. "It's prescribed by a doctor"

Meanwhile every 19 minutes someone dies from a Prescription OD. One of my best friends being one of them.

Yet the DEA is still kicking in the doors of LEGAL marijuana dispensaries.

Thanks Obama!
