I don't like that up and down stuff on any song, whether it's a star-spangled one or not. I always kind of figure it's because the person's not a good enough singer to hold a note.
I like the Home of the Chiefs thing, though I can understand why it bothers some people. To me, the "Home of the Chiefs" is the perfect transition from the national anthem to the football game. Plus, if you have a big, enthusiastic crowd doing it, it's got to make opposing rookies think twice. |
Any Banles song would be more appropriate than the National Anthem

Personally I think every football game should begin with Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song," but that's just me.

I'm talking about freestyling the anthem. Not about yelling "Chiefs." I'm actually OK with that. I'm not OK with scooby-ing up the anthem itself. I hate that.

I hate the singer carrying the ends of certain words out. Just sing the damn song. But if I am at Arrowhead or in ANY Living Room watching the game I will say "CHIEFS" at the end of the anthem. Someone that doesn't like it can get over it.

That would solve all the problems. |
