Commings played in Denver so I wouldn't be surprised to see him make a meaningful play at some point.

Bench Lewis-put in the hard hitting rookie Commings-how much could it hurt really?

Use Davis as another weapon. Would like to see him get some Kickoffs-our special teams havn't done much lately after a hot preseason and pretty descent start.

Big Cat- needs to be in there-would love to see him knock the crap out of Rivers this weekend.

I'd like to see Davis in short yardage and maybe short yardage goaline. Hes 225-230 as opposed to 200 in Charles. Ok sure its Jamaal Charles and he plays bigger than he looks for sure.....but 230 is 230 and as long as Davis can hold onto the ball he may be the guy who can punch it through a tough d-line. Plus using more of him will help preserve Charles a bit. May suck for my fantasy team lol but may keep Charles healthier with less wear n tear for playoffs

Commings will be a good player. i really liked him as a prospect. We are deep at safety.

Deep but no starter at FS

amazing that our defense can play so well with only 10 productive players on the field

You say that without knowing what Commings is or could be.

We need more than Jamaal Charles for an offense so our D can rest and why we have not seen any sacks the last 3 weeks.:thumb:

Jamaal has proven that he can break tackles, and not just through agility and speed. He's at this point a more powerful runner than Davis.

If you want to save Charles, start using Sherman as a pass blocker instead of Charles. As far as I am concerned, Charles is our biggest weapon and shouldn't be trying to take on a linebacker when he could be a potent threat even as a checkdown receiver. And since we have Alex Smith, I will say we ESPECIALLY need a checkdown threat. What I mean is, Charles is too big of a weapon to be part of the protection package as far as I am concerned. And he doesnt need the unnecessary wear and tear of getting blasted by linebackers when he doesn't have the ball.

It's true. I watched knile a lot in college and his size and strength is wasted on him. He's not really a breaking tackles kind of runner. He's great North-South and in space. He is kinda a one cut guy and isn't as physical as you would think.

Good point...Sherman Tank is certainly a great option for pass protecting. And Charles IS a durable back dont get me wrong. He really excellerates ro the hole and runs hard inside. But when I saw him get denied access to the endzone last week I found myself thinking "why not yry and hammer Davis in there? But Charles 200 lbs soaking wet he may be usually gets in there. Charles plays big. And is an awesome pass blocker too...but I agree on giving him less workload where you can. Hopefully we can get up on San Diego early amd run Davis at em late

Just read thursday practice update from Kansas City Star website...
