Free agency is a stupid endeavor in the NFL, I really don't know why you're all freaking out. 9/10 of these guys are washed up by the time they reach their new destination.... save a QB you hardly ever ever get impact out of other teams older - best years behind them - players.... so, have at, Broncos. The Seahawks pushed your shit in on national TV with a homegrown, young group of bad asses - that is - and always has been- the model. Being reactionary and jealous of these showy moves is stupid. We need a great draft and to continue to develop our own young players, that is all.

The broncos are in desperation mode.

Michael Bennett, Cliff Avril and Marshawn Lynch.

Charles Brown would be a decent swing option that should come cheap.

Seems we cut a lot of expensive dead weight while the cap cheating donks threw some big money around to players that probably won't finish those contracts.

Which if they didn't get big signing bonus is not going to hurt them as those players won't see all of those years either.

Of course I have came to the point we might never win another playoff game years ago. Which sadly makes watching easier.

but we did smart by not over paying or keeping any of those guys.

It's cool. The Chiefs plan is to scrap this season because Manning and the tough schedule. 2015 will be much easier.

Comp picks and a 4th place schedule, this is the path to stardom :)

Schwartz is the only guy that bothers me from our losses.

I was still waiting for the major defections. Is that in the link?

Eleazar 03-12-2014 02:16 PM

The only one I care one whit about losing is Schwartz. As a whole it's not that bad.

We lost a bunch of starters. No matter how you look at it, that's major.

Mr. Laz 03-12-2014 02:23 PM

losing 5 starters and adding none is a bad day no matter how you slice it

Sure, but we supposedly have Albert replaced. Jackson and McCluster could be replaced by any just-a-guy. Asamoah blows. I don't think any of those will really hurt us but Schwartz... apart from the daily discussion we've been having on CP about Fisher over the past year.

Starters are never easily replaced, if for no other reason than disruption to continuity.
