There is a Filipina Market I take her to. And in the refrigerated foods section my wife points them out. There they were in living color. I mean nothing really to see you would think it was an weird colored egg shell. But these folks enjoy locust and cicadas. Whats an egg embryo lol. She told me when the cicadas come out in there 7 year cycle its an event there. They catch them in nets for the feast and eat some right as they fly for a snack.

Microwaves are used for popcorn only.

No, they are not. Popcorn is strictly stove top.

Too much work. Put a bag in the nuker, pout into a bowl and some dashes of Tabasco.

It's easy

2 lbs pork cut into 1 inch squares
1/4 cup vinegar
1/4 cup soy sauce (I usually do a little under 1/4 cup)
1 bay leaf
1/3 cup water
6 garlic cloves minced
Salt and pepper to taste (I leave the salt out, soy sauce is enough).

Brown the pork with a little olive oil and add the rest of the ingredients. Slow boil for about 45 minutes until meat is tender.

You can get much better popcorn just as easily with an automatic kettle cooker.

Used to think that until we got an electric. Stovetop taste, microwave-like effort.

Sounds about right my wife also cuts up some small onions, and uses coconut oil instead of Olive oil, its not good on the heart but readily available here on the island.
