I dunnow as the Ref moved away he then saw the celebration continuing and moved back in to cover. At least that is what it looks like to me. Guess we will never know unless the ref speaks up.

Rules are the rules and if its not officially approved by the NFL then he will be fined. Maybe just move off to the open area and face camera and draw a big # 29 in air. Keep the fine money and donate it to a cancer research institute or something.

I saw it the other way. It looked to me like the ref was somehow trying to be some part of the celebration. Maybe he likes Eric Berry or is passionate about cancer or something. He seemed to be smiling and encouraging. Probably not appropriate for a ref to behave that way after a sack, though.

Personally, I thought he was rubbing his belly.

Maybe he thought he had a tummy ache?

I think all fines are given to charity anyway.

From this clip, the ref didn't even see what was on his shirt. He didn't even look down at it. Looked like he was just trying to make his way through the crowd. Big deal.

he patted houston's stomach -- also the pr dept announces any extra-promotional activity by players to the refs before the game. despite despising the NFL for what wrongs they have done to the game, this is not one of those imo.

Yeah, how ignorant and stupid to pay tribute to a teammate in your own way. I cant even believe the nerve. How dare he. Right? RIGHT?

They should suspend him for the final game so he has no shot at the 20 sack mark. That would show him.

The ****ing nerve of this guy, Houston.

Just do some reeruned dance, or mock the opposing QB while he's on the turf, like a normal thug. Jesus.

What is this league coming to?

I'm just glad Justin had the uniform department print a shirt for him rather than the scribbled sharpie mess he's been rocking.
