In 2 to 3 years you will no longer need cable at all. Technology is going to make ala cart possible and without the cables companys consent. They are a midddle man and they re about to get cut out.

Local channels...over the air...you don t need a digital antenna, but you ll pull more with one
Fx...get the app
Movies? ?..get netflix
