They won't be able to trade him with that contract. He's going to be released.

Nobody is gonna trade for a guy with massive base salaries the next 3 years. Why even try? The guy will be a 6 per yr FA in a week or 2 |
BossChief has media sources saying that Mike Wallace demands his crusts cut off of his grilled cheeses ...
I'm sorry, I'm not paying a child $12M a year to play football. Thanks for the info, Boss. |
Holding out for Ed Bradley.
|
Do not want. Especially at his salary.
|
The Colts might want to consider him, if their locker room could handle him. They need to upgrade their positional talent.
He would be appropriate in many ways for the Raiders... |
Nope. He can only run one route.

Alex Smith wasn't going to be cut. The demand for QB is much higher than a 1 trick pony WR.

A one trick malcontent thats only happy when he's getting the deep throw?
This guy isnt even on Dorseys radar, I'm sure. |
I think it would be foolish for Miami to cut him before June 1. They only save 2.5 million on the cap by cutting him now. If they cut him Post-June 1 then that changes to 4.8 million, but even then they probably won't get a replacement of Wallace's caliber for that change. The only way I can see them getting rid of Wallace this year is if they get substantial enough compensation for doing so. Also, the other team would be taking on some hefty salaries unless its a trade/restructure type of deal.
Now, cutting Wallace in 2016 makes a boatload of sense given they could save 9.3 million against the cap. I have a feeling they'll cut Hartline loose first, but you never know. |
