Nickel or slow corner.

What? Gaines was badass late in the season.

The Chiefs had a Top 5 secondary last season and they'll be even better this year.

You need 3 solid corners these days. We went from Smith & $#it to looking deep at the position after one draft...

It also means we can stop pretending that Jalil Fleming is some great player when he really only played one game for us all year.

Same with Philip Gaines. I'm really glad we don't have to depend on his constantly injured vagina this year.

Sounds like he's good in run support, average speed, start out as nickel corner and could become a starter with time.

Not bad...

I thought Gaines looked good the 2nd half of the season.

Hard to see Cooper and Commings sticking now...

Smith
Peters
Gaines
Flemming
Nelson

I think they gone. Looks like Smith is going to be gone in 2016.

Really only started after two other guys were injured or sucked. Didn't do bad then but I thought we used him mostly as the nickel/slot.

Peters should earn the no 2 and if Gaines and Nelson battle for the 3rd/Nickel we'll be just fine. Good, actually...

We cut Shaq Richardson, bruh

Love our depth at corner now. Smith, Gaines, Peters, Nelson, Cooper.

One thing to remember when looking at game tape of Nelson, the Beavers had one of the worst all time defensive coordinators (as you Nebraska fans will find out). He taught the dbs to play the man rather than the ball and it led to a lot of penalties. When Nelson went to the Senior Bowl with better coaching, he blossomed. With quality coaching, his technique will improve and he will end up being a pretty good corner, imo.

Gaines will be just fine. You can never have too much talent at CB. Nelson is another possible piece.

I love that the new DBs are aggressive, in your face, attitude guys.
