Clark has fired 3 HCs and 2 GMs in his short time in charge. That directly contradicts your statement.

I worry about Peters.

Who cares what Pioli thinks...

even if he is right!

The article should be...."Chiefs fans facing the abyss"

First off, Clark never says anything. Second, Alex is not left naked, he just flat-out sucks.

Watch the games before you comment on something you know nothing about.

It's obviously a BS source. None of this washes with anything we know about Hunt.

Sure, before Clark, ownership never reacted to Carl's failure at all. But Clark sent him on his way, and although it was a year too late, he sent Pioli on his way too.

I don't think we should be imagining that Clark will behave like Lamar when there is plenty of evidence to suggest he's more involved.

telling his GM he has to fire his handpicked head coach in the middle of year three does not sound like Clark. He doesn't micromanage the team. He sounds like someone who evaluates the GM year by year.

Why Not? 10-13-2015 08:57 AM

Facing an abyss? This franchise has been right in the middle of one for years

TEX 10-13-2015 08:57 AM

Chiefs "facing abyss" in ONLY YEAR 3. Cant make this stuff up! ROFL

And the REAL HANGOVER came week 2. THAT was the defining moment of the season. Been a train wreck ever since..

Because Chiefs...

BTW this so called "source" is full of shit. To even suggest some of the stuff he did about Clark is waaaaaay off.

What's pathetic is seeing teams (like Denver) with less defensive talent having defenses that far exceed ours.

3-8 in the last 11 games........

The NFL executive told KCTV5 that he is also worried about the Chiefs quarterback.

"Alex Smith has been left 'naked,'" he said, "First, he had no offensive line and now he loses the main component of his running game. Good luck with that."

He said the loss of running back Jamaal Charles will make Reid's game-planning and play calling job a lot harder, and that an already weak Chiefs offense will have an even harder time moving forward.

He also said the problems extend to the defense.

"I think (Chiefs defensive coordinator) Bob Sutton's in trouble." he said. "I really like Bob, but that defense should be better."

Clark needs to step away from the football operations entirely. Hire some Executive VP of Everything and let THAT guy make the decisions as to who to hire to GM and coach the team. So far Clark has sucked at that job. Just own the team and run the trust, Clark. Let football people do the football stuff.

chiefzilla1501 10-13-2015 09:04 AM

Well it's good to know that once again, we are going to assume there is dysfunction everywhere except the QB position. Maybe if we surround Alex with an all world offensive line and top 5 defense, we can go back to competing. Why do all these damn articles continue to insist he's a victim to the problem when he's the biggest part of the problem?
