Do you know the company policy on facial hair?

Saccopoo 10-22-2015 04:29 PM

I'd hire a guy with a beard just to fire him the next day for violating company policy on facial hair.

This ain't the ****ing major leagues or a bar in Dodge City circa 1842.

Clean your shit up for christs sake.

stop being lazy and just shave.

I keep my beard trimmed and clean - doesn't look like a scraggly mess. I'm young, but look like I'm about 12 years old clean shaven.

Any input appreciated.

Let's be realistic...if you're hired, how long before they get to know you and show you the door? A week? Maybe two? And then you will have shaved for nothing.

Dayze 10-22-2015 04:42 PM

I've always shaved ,then just grow it back out.
Anymore though, **** it. A nicely trimmed beard doesn't look bad. Just don't go in there looking like Weddle from the Chargers.

srvy 10-22-2015 04:45 PM

Unless your applying for Santa Claus shave. Say what you will but you come for an interview look like you didn't just rise from bed late. Dont take the chance.

Bob Dole's father worked for a company that allowed facial hair, but did not allow you to GROW facial hair.

They also required all male employees to enter and exit the building wearing a suit and tie...even the janitors.

BigBeauford 10-22-2015 04:59 PM

When in doubt shave.

I'm dying over here after reading this post. I read it, picturing Dwight Shrute from The Office saying it.

It was a savings and loan with strong IBM ties. (Bob Dole's father worked on the team that developed the first ATM. Bob Dole actually had a 2-digit PIN.))

Did you have to enter your PIN on a rotary dial?
