I doubt 5th and 3rd streets, anywhere, would ever be crossing streets ... they'd always have to be parallel

Could be a street/avenue/boulevard intersection.

Numbered streets and avenues intersect all over Manhattan.

When you think about a lot of these names they are stupid as shit, another example Buffalo Bills a pluralized version of some old west showman that had nothing to do with the city and isn't represented at all in any of their branding...
