Remember, the Premier League does this with the promise that you'll see no commercials before halftime of a soccer match. The NBA makes no such promise. So **** you, basketball fans!

It's reversed though. The team symbol is the tiny patch on the shoulder in soccer and the company/advertisement is the huge thing across the chest.

It doesn't really bother me.

DJJasonp 04-16-2016 08:44 AM

well, yeah, but it's kind of hard to throw in commercials during a soccer game since there really is no breaks (even after a flop, and the long wait for the "magic spray").

so it's not like the premiere league is doing everyone a solid with that guarantee.

I guess I'm used to this in the cycling world - the name of the team is the sponsor's name.

Though, I'm not looking forward to rooting for the Kansas City Cheez-its.

Dave Lane 04-16-2016 09:08 AM

That settles it. I'm not going to watch next season for the 60th year straight.

Toby Waller 04-16-2016 12:19 PM

Nothing says basketball like an insurance company logo on a 22 year old black guys jersey.

Will it be like a Hooters or Aflec?
McDonalds?
Hertz?

That's why I don't watch cycling.

Well, that and I'm not sure that cycling is televised.
