I used to get calls, and I would say something like "yeah, hang on. let me get my credit card".

then just walk away and go about my evening. I wonder how long they've stayed on the phone before.

I used to like keeping these guys on the phone too. I would stall for time and tell the caller that I was distracted because I was operating a drone over Karachi Pakistan

I was getting quite a few from the "Microsoft " people saving me from a virus. I'd play dumb, ask questions and feign concern.....they'd get annoyed eventually as they tried to get me to hit the start button so they could remote in....

One of my go to lines is to have trouble finding the window button....by the shift and cntrl......eventually is suggest the only button I see is the "go **** your mother key".....and then get the same bullshit as this guy. Then I pour it on until they hang up. They've threatened to kill me before.

This guy is right....every time you waste their time...they aren't scamming an old lady.

Heh, right on. I do the same thing. I always read them wrong credit card numbers for about ten minutes then tell them I'll have to find my glasses as I can't see . Ask them to hold on. Last time I drove to the beer store and came back and they were still on hold. After finally lowering the boom on them they told me the same shit about knocking down the towers and they were the son of Osama Bin Laden. Isaid , oh you mean that mother ****er with a hole in his face laying in the bottom of the ocean ! He sais, you are a son of bitch and hung up on me.
