That Oakland/Denver game is going to be brutal to watch. Lynch vs McGloin.

Nope. Houston can still be a 3 seed.

Luckily we won't have to, other than the scoreboard...

No, they can't. It was talked about on ESPN last night.

Houston and Pittsburgh can rest some starters if they want to Sunday.

3. Steelers: (10-5): Locked into the No. 3 seed, based on the strength of victory tiebreaker over the Texans.

4. Texans (9-6): Locked into the No. 4 seed.

My bad. I read it somewhere on the net earlier this morning that they could still flip.

No biggie, it's a positive at least. Virtually impossible that we travel to Pitt in the WC round.

Shit, you're right. Was looking at the wrong tiebreaker. Changing the OP.

Currently Denver is the favorite to beat Oakland and we have about a 70% chance of winning in San Diego

Thus our likelihood of receiving the first round bye is 40%

O.city 12-27-2016 02:19 PM

So it might be beneficial to the chiefs if they win, the raiders win and the dolphins win.

Would be able to play the texans, then likely on the road to Oakland. Pitt and new england could battle it out

This would be the theoretically easiest path to the AFCCG.

Snica 12-27-2016 02:33 PM

I'd rather have the bye

TigeRRUppeRRcut 12-27-2016 02:37 PM

Assuming the Pats beat Miami to protect their #1 seed I would rather that we treat the SD game as a bye week...that way we can go on the road to get revenge on Houston and play an Oakland team that we've beaten twice already.

That sets us up for a showdown with likely Pitt or NE for the conference.

That's probably the easiest path. Of course in this scenario, you assume Pittsburgh beats Miami in the first round.

At least we'll know the Miami new England winner before we kickoff.
