They aren't full of nastiness and toxins but they are flash frozen in the Bering Sea because they're too far from anywhere to be shipped to somewhere without being frozen.
And these Chinese buffets just serve shitty snow crab. Until you've had huge ass Alaska Golden King Crab, you haven't really had crab. Get a good 5-6 pounds and sear some wild Alaska scallops, serve with melted butter and vintage Champagne. Good living. Otherwise, don't bother me with "crab".
