For a preseason rookie, an easy A+.
My observations: he still needs time and I'm glad they won't throw him immediately into the fire. The good (actually... the great): miles better than last game. Extremely accurate where last week he missed a few by a lot - must have been nerves. Ability to throw on the run in both directions is absurdly good. We were told he's a gunslinger but haven't seen many head scratchers. Reid seems to be a good influence on him. Man, this kid is going to be one hell of a QB.
The negatives: needs to get rid of the ball faster. The OL sucked but it'll be much more difficult to escape starting pass rushers. And it'll be even more difficult once they start throwing blitzes and different looks. Some footwork issues here and there. I also noticed that he naturally rolls left even when he doesn't have to. I'm not too crazy about that. While the elusiveness is nice, you can see where it can lead to mistakes. He narrowly escaped a strip and there were a few throwaways that looked dangerous as hell.
The one big observation and it's a double-edged sword. Man, this kid works like hell to win. I love it. But I also worry that he's going to get hit a ton. At the very least, I don't know if I want him challenging the defender on every single run. I thought he took some big hits running the ball that he didn't have to take.
