Why?

Rookie RB's do it all of the ****ing time. He was already the #2, so the coaching staff obviously feels like he can handle it.

Doesn't look physical enough going from the MAC to the NFL is a big jump.

LMAO

You have to be ****ing kidding me. The guy is breaking tackles, dragging people and constantly fighting for extra yardage.

He took out two defenders at once in pass pro on one play this preseason too. He's definitely physical enough.

Thought he looked solid. Played 1v1. 9 carries, 39 yards.

Showed decent vision. Missed a big running lane, but found others. Loves contact. Made nice moves to avoid tacklers. Quicker than Spencer Ware after hand off. Overall proved he belonged and I'm very happy with the draft pick.

Thoughts?

I like him....he is no Charles...but hey...neither is Charles anymore

Hunt is physical. He packs a punch. Just think he needs more weight so he's harder to move.

Disagree 100%, more weight will only make it harder for him to move

Agreed thats why I think a whole year in a NFL training program will do wonders. Helped Fisher for sure.

Hunt doesn't need to play heavier but he does need to redistribute his weight

Has potential but needs to learn that he isn't running over defenders in the NFL like in college. A few times i've seen him lower a shoulder instead of trying to make guys miss.

That's were you mix in TH in the running slot from time to time to make up significantly for that lack of 4.2:D

I think that speed is overrated for RB's, quickness is much more important.

Just depends on his running style. If he wants to be like Emmitt Smith he needs to lose some. If he wants to resemble a power back he needs to gain some

I think he is a tweener myself, but his style is working. Hard to argue with 17 carries and 79 yards in two games, starters vs starters.

I love the way Hunt runs. Always trying to fall forward. I am excited to see him take a big role.

jspchief 08-26-2017 04:37 PM

He's the type of back that can be used to grind clock late in games. Chiefs need a guy like that. Just hope he can handle the pounding he seems to invite.

I'd like to know what he was looking at on his 3rd carry. There was a huge hole over the right side.
