Not only is Nashville Hot Chicken real, it's spectacular. And if the story is to be believed, it's origin is one of the best.

Hattie B's husband pissed her off, then told her to fix dinner. Dinner that night was fried chicken. She figured she'd fix his wagon by dousing it in cayenne.

Turns out he loved it, and the neighbors loved it, and the city loved it.

I haven't had it in Nashville, but I've had Gus' here in St. Louis on Manchester [OK, better than most fried chicken] and Southern on Olive [a truly religious experience].

Nashville Hot Chicken is no lie, it is 100% legit. That KFC crap that they are peddling is to Nashville Hot Chicken as the McRib is to KC BBQ.

Bring cash, come to the 'hood and have some Prince's Hot Chicken and leave a changed man...in a good way.

should've sent him some Zarda bbq.
just to be a dick.

Nothing wrong with Jacks at all.

There may have been some issues with Q39 or Joes fulfilling the order and getting it shipped... who knows what really went on behind the scenes.

Canofbier 01-11-2018 08:54 AM

I had some heath issues recently and a friend of mine sent me a care package including a few different varieties of burnt ends from Jack Stack (ham, pork, and beef). The ham ones were tasty, though not really "burnt ends", but the pork ones were quite good. Gonna eat the beef ones later this week!

EDIT: Not the greatest photo, but here were the pork "ends" shortly before being devoured:

Jack Stack is substandard Q? :shake:

So their burnt ends may not always be burnt ends, they are always very tasty. And their cheesy corn is the best side ever made to go with Q.

The Q landscape down here is barren. Its lathered with this sweet and I mean really sweet sauce. Thats what they like. :shake:

Zarda would be the best Q down here by far.

I recently got some Joes KC shipped down here. Burnt ends, Ribs and Brisket. It was a gastronomical orgasm. They have been able to develop a fantastic process to freeze and then serve some of the best Q in the USA, anywhere in the USA.

Hope it has the right mixture of AIDS in it.

And send it next week for comfort food after the crushing defeat we wisely avoided.

Nickel D 01-11-2018 10:20 AM

He should have sent Pyler "S***" Bway instead.

gblowfish 01-11-2018 10:28 AM

He should have just sent them a big box full of McRibs. They wouldn't know the difference.

HC_Chief 01-11-2018 10:45 AM

KC BBQ, bruh

Discuss Thrower 01-11-2018 11:34 AM

Isn't that something you arrange when both cities are in the final game or series?

Nashville hot chicken is one of the greatest things I've ever experienced.
