I remember last week I replied to one of your posts that I was hoping that Smith got traded to the Redskins because my Dad is a Redskins fan and he always gave me shit about hating on him. I text him the night that he got traded and told him that "Smith is his now.....have fun". He replied back that he was happy about the contract extension. I took a screenshot of that for the future.

All of us with dads in their 50's or 60's have this strange Alex Smith love. I've at least gotten mine to buy into Mahomes.

After the trade my dads first response was "Washington is looking dangerous now".

I couldn't even respond to that. I just left it alone.

My 80 year-old dad couldn't stand Alex Smith. We watch the Chiefs games together and both would cringe at his lack of pocket awareness, lack of field vision and lack of ability to throw on the run. He is happy we are moving on.
