If the Chiefs want to zig while others zag, making a run for Kyle Rudolph could be interesting. A lot of teams starting using two TE sets later in the season to great success, especially the Patriots. It would give them another big body in the red zone, a reliable receiver in 3rd and short-medium, and it would force teams to adopt a heavier personnel grouping if they didn't want huge running lanes.

Trade a 5th or 6th for Rudolph. You can easily trade back 5 spots in the draft and recoup that pick.
Plenty of cap space and the guy would be great with Kelce. |

I mean, **** we had Demetrius Harris out there last year. |
Rudolph's grade in both receiving and run blocking has been steadily declining for years, now that I looked it up.

I'll take Agholor or Kyle Rudolph if they get cut.

TE2 isn’t a huge need. Hell bring in bodies and keep the one who’s the best receiver and another who’s the best blocker of the bunch. Mahomes is going to be tossing the ball all over to all these weapons(assuming Hill plays, even if suspended part of the season). TE2 will be open.. just catch it. We don’t need to bring in names, great QB’s give WR’s and TE’s big names.

Well said -totally agree |
I'd take a year of Rudolph. 2 RB 2 TE sets with Thompson could be a lot of fun for Reid to draw up.

Lovett will be the #2 TE. You all are sleeping on him. They compared him to Trey Burton

I wouldn't trade for Rudolph with that contract. If he's cut then yeah, bring him in, but why trade picks for a guy that's going to cost you 7m?

With our safety depth, I don't know how you cut Sorenson unless he absolutely doesn't fit. Unless people think we will find a better safety for $2.6m. Doubtful.
