Well they merged it with something modern. (the masked singer).

That was the right way to do it. But yes, not many under 35s would Know who buckwheat is. They don’t show the Our Gang/Little Rascal shorts anymore because of racial insensitivity concerns.

If you grew up with it you’d have a different take. I laughed out loud the entire skit. Eddie Murphy is the best. The Merry Christmas toast was funny as f too.
