IIRC it seems he make the biggest goofs when we have the ball right before halftime. But it was much worse and more frequent in 2015 /16 the earlier tenure.

Bump. Just because I remember being really frustrated with Andy's clock management back in 2015-2018. Blown timeouts at odd times (once back-to-back) and just weird mismanagement that left points on the field seemingly always right before halftime.
Feels like all that has gone away. They did a great job sneaking in 3 points before the half against LV. |

Obviously it helps to have a QB who can score in 13 seconds or 10 minutes depending on the situation, though. |
Dated stereotype.

I’d say he’s currently best in the league at it. He knows exactly what to do to bleed the clock at the end of games, or get us in position to get down the field to score with only seconds to go. Also wanna add his “inability to run the ball” is completely wrong at this time. Definitely was a bit of an Achilles heel at times during his career, but he’s dialed in to exactly what this team has and what we excel at. We are so effing blessed to have him here.

I've never thought Andy was bad with clock management and it was always significantly over blown. The one thing I have more than pretty much anything when it comes to those complaints are the "he scored too fast" shit. It's hard to score and if you're down by more than a FG, then you should score as fast or as easily as possible.

Ever since Andy got Mahomes there isn't a better team in the league at preserving TOs for the end of the half/end of game, than the Chiefs. When we had Alex it seemed like he'd burn TOs pretty regularly.

I was wondering at first why this was bumped, because Andy figured out whatever clock management issues it was he had, and basically ended whatever weakness in coaching he had.
