I know Mahomes would get us here from the first time I saw him play in preseason in 2017.
Today I woke up feeling cocky and a few hours later started having doubts just because.
During the game today I was actually more worried early on than I was last week while at the game. Tide turned and of course I started thinking we could lead by half again.
Had friends over and we won, but its just now hitting me. They ****ing did it. They actually ****ing didi it.

I have never been so nervous about a chiefs game as I was yesterday. I didn't feel great about our D last year vs Brady. Never felt great about our chances to make a deep run with Alex Smith. This is the first year I felt good about a game going in and that made me a nervous wreck.
Then to think of all the demons we just exorcised. The Chiefs can win a super bowl, let alone at home. Reid gets another shot at a super bowl. Mahomes, win or lose, is now cemented in greatness - nobody will question for a very very long time if he can win big games. Just beautiful all around. |
