I've been on board with everything the team/Veach has done except for:

-Keeping Sutton 1 season too long. (I was right)
-Keeping Alex Smith 1 season too long. (Perhaps this worked out for the best)

Now, I'm in the camp we need to Tag/Trade Chris Jones, so I'm prepared to eat that crow some day if he ends up staying and balls out.

This is my "Eating Crow". Through game 8 I still held on to thought that Spags was a TERRIBLE hire. It just took time, for Clark to get healthy, the new signings to learn the scheme and the rookies to step up. Well done SPAGS.

Yeah, I was pretty down on Veach right about the time it looked like our defense wasn't going to be much better and Mahomes was banged up.

Credit where credit is due: Veach is a stud and virtually every move he's made has worked out.

Watkins - I was livid about the contract and I still think it was a ridiculous signing tbh BUT the guy really showed up when it counted.

Does it count when someone made a thread almost five years ago about how Andy Reid is a terrible head football coach, and then continued to argue like a babbling idiot about it since then with anyone who tried to talk sense to him?

And now that Reid has reached the promised land, that person wants the thread to disappear?

I thought Damien Williams would be replaced by Darwin or McCoy..

I didn't like the Frank Clark trade. Nothing against him personally, but I thought we already had pass rushers & would be better served to use our draft pick on a run stuffer or two & hire a DC who'd run a 3-4. Obviously those changes were brilliant & all worked.

I also thought Clark was a bust early but as it turns out that's b/c he was playing hurt.

I thought the season was over after the Titans loss. Not b/c the Chiefs weren't good but b/c at that point it just felt like one of those years where you're snakebit with injuries.

There are probably more than a few, but the main one for me was Damien Williams. Never thought he'd be a true RB1, in fact voiced the idea of cutting him at the end of the season even through week 17. Wasn't until his playoffs performances when he really proved himself to me. Just ordered his jersey after the Super Bowl; kind of my own way of eating crow about Damien.
