I doubt if the NFLPA agrees to the new cba.

Player reps from the league’s 32 teams will do a conference call tomorrow. They will vote and if they get a 2/3 in favor, it goes to the league wide membership. It only needs a simple majority for approval from them.
I think it passes. No one wants to kill the golden goose. |
The new playoff rule and 17-game schedule are dumb.
Just double up the Monday night package like they do opening week. Switching 16 games to prime time would be worth more than 17 additional Sunday afternoon games. Also, you could limit the Thursday night package to the center of the season to correspond with the byes and have those be your international games (when teams have more time to get there and back). Make them bigger games with the same price tag for 10 games plus opening night. |
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">How would players be compensated for a 17th game if they signed contracts based on a 16-game schedule? Basically, under proposed CBA, they'd get an extra game check, but it'd be capped at $250,000, per sources. So the highest-paid players would play for less than usual.</p>— Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) <a href="https://twitter.com/TomPelissero/status/1230613879912308737?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">February 20, 2020</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Why would players ever agree to that |
Chiefs player rep is Dustin Colquitt with Patrick Mahomes as the alternate.
|
Players will eventually agree no matter what.
Jocks are a dime a dozen. They like their 6 and 7 digit paydays. They can't beat billionaires no matter how hard they try. |
