You wish he would have tested better, because even watching his gameplay he does not scream “explosive athlete”.

But what I cannot ignore is how damn good he is at block shedding. He has such quick shed/escape moves and he is really efficient running the proper track in pursuit/chase. He’s got a great long arm and stab technique and he times plays on the qb’s throwing arm with precision. He sets the edge well in the run game and patiently anchors when needed. I hope this can carry over to the next level, because his athleticism is pedestrian. If Veach ends up taking him, I’m on board.

Agreed. He is a pure old school football player for sure. But there are many good ones in the NFL that tested average at the combine IMHO.
