Hard wire if at all possible.

You could run a wire from your main router and make your second router an access point in your gaming room. Hardwire from access point (second router) to your gaming rig and have plenty of strong wi-fi in that portion of your house as well.

This all day. Throughput, latency, etc. are all going to better with ethernet. It's not even worth it trying to keep a wireless connection.

If you can't wire directly to router from your room, they make powerline bridges that essentially hard wire through your electrical outlets.

PS4 wifi adapter is horrible.

MoCA is probably much better than a powerline adapter. Powerline may have better bandwidth, but latency will likely be an issue.

make sure you are using the 2.4ghz wireless and not the 5ghz, it penetrates better.

Also, just wire ethernet up through the wall through your attic into the other room. Wireless gaming sucks balls.

Gaming over wireless isn’t the recommended solution.

There are a lot of variables here.

Are their others in the house using it while your gameing?

Wireless is a shared medium and subject to interference.

On a side note for everyone else, the slowest device on your WiFi will be your top speed. If you have an old device still connected it will slow all of your other devices

Nah haha. That’s funny though.

I posted what I thought were fixed and they ended up not being anything close to a fix.

As I said in the edit op, I just did a system restore since it’s my gaming pc, and everything is easily replaceable and already saved into the games themselves..

I hope you don't mind me imposing this question in this thread but I hope someone can shed some light on my situation.

My smart TV gets wifi fine in my bedroom and is pretty far away from my router. But my phone cannot get wifi in my bedroom unless I am near the door (closer to the router). Any reason for that?

I suppose my phone's wifi reciever is not as strong and my TV's.

I don’t know, that’s strange... I know my phone has issues where others don’t (workplace).

I’d call up your ISP (internet service provider) and ask them. They are usually pretty easy going and quick to pick up on their customer service lines.

My suggestion : unplugging your router AND modem always does wonders. When I’m lagging pretty bad, sometimes that fixes everything. My mom in law I remember one time I was at their house and I say to my father in law “hey can you reset your guys’ router or I can, I’m having issues with my internet” she goes “that really shouldn’t effect it blah blah” I just looked at her, looked back at him and he goes “yeah I’ll reset it haha”...
