Broncos- A Jeudy was the best WR in this draft and they paired an outstanding young WR to go with their QB. Add in that they could sit put in drafting him is even better. I hate the Broncos but it’s hard to argue that they did not hit a home run with their pick.
Raiders- C Ruggs is a high risk high reward type of player. He is lightning quick and hopefully his YAC is outstanding as they do not have the QB who can maximize his speed to the fullest. This is very much a product of Tyreek as they want to try and get their version of him. Unfortunately they don’t have anyone close to Mahomes to take full advantage of it. Their second pick was a head scratcher. They used the second of their two Mack picks for a kid who almost quit on football. When you trade away an elite talent like Mack for picks you hope to get back solid talent. Not sure Jacobs and this kid are worth the loss of Mack. Chargers- C Herbert has all the makings of a bust. Outside of measurables I am not sure why people were so enamored with him. This is a pick they could end up regretting. Murray is a stud, but I question if their team is so solid across the board they can afford to give up picks for him Chiefs- A If what keeps being said about Reid thinking this kid is better than Westbrook then watch out. While I like Williams and appreciate how he is a beast in the playoffs he struggles with health. We need a solid RB to pair with our offensive genius HC and the best player in football. While many think he wasn’t the best RB in the draft, Veach and Reid felt he was the best RB for this team in the draft. An already deadly offense got even more deadly. Fans need to realize that while the front office needs to address defense, they will always emphasize providing toys for the best QB in football. I think as this kid gains familiarity with the offense he will become a nightmare for opposing teams. |
Day 2 for Denver needs two OL, including a center. And I would like a DL and LB.
Lots of quality out there. |
Very interesting how the division is collecting the best WR's in the league.

The Ruggs selection reminded me a little bit of Darrius Heyward-Bey from several years ago. Ruggs went further down in the draft and is probably going to be a better player, but it still had everybody going, "THAT'S the first WR taken in the draft?"
There are too many elite assets to what REALLY makes this Chiefs offense work. Tyreek Hill isn't just really fast-- he also tracks the ball in the air better than just about any other receiver in the league. Travis Kelce isn't just a big strong TE-- he does all of the little things to make his pass defenders miss-- he's just like a WR out there. And I'm not even going to talk about Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid. Yeah, you can get players you THINK are similar, but you're just not going to replicate this shit. The Raiders clearly think they can try to replicate it, and it's just going to fail. |
Chargers:
Justin Herbert- I’m not going to give them an F because it’s. QB, but I do not like Herbert and didn’t even have his as a 1st round player, so for a top 10 QB that I’m pretty sure isn’t going to be much better than Josh Allen? D+ Kenneth Murray- This would be an A+, but since they gave up a 2nd and a 3rd to go up and get him and still don’t have a LT, I’m going to go with an A-. Broncos: Jerrry Jeudy- They got one of the top 2 WR’s at 15. A Raiders: Henry Ruggs- I thought there was a significant enough gap between Lamb/Jeudy and Ruggs that I just can’t praise this pick even though I like Ruggs. It also doesn’t help that Carr can’t get him the ball downfield. B- Damon Arnette- This dude is a pretty old rookie that was the 3rd best corner at Ohio State last year. I liked him in the 2nd for us, but 19 with Gladney/Johnson/Igbinoghene/Fuller/Diggs are all better prospects IMO. C- |
I think the Chargers would’ve been wise to avoid QB once Tua was off the board.
Drafting Simmons and then a pass rusher would’ve been the best moves for them. They only had 30 sacks last year. The Raiders only had 32 sacks last year. They signed Nassib which is okay, but they still won’t have much of a pass rush either. I don’t think it’s smart for a team with Derek Carr to try and outscore the Chiefs. The Broncos grabbed the best player available at a position of need. They have a nice young group of receivers. Their ceiling really comes down to how good that OL and Lock are. Chiefs are still the absolute front runners for the West for the foreseeable future. |
The Raiders would have been way better off drafting Kinlaw and Jefferson with their 2 picks...
