Comedic gold. Having Meathead was a huge plus

He was the bomb. He would have dinner every night with Mel Brooks.

The only flop he produced was Rob Reiner.

Funny guy in an industry where merely amusing guys are everywhere.

I just didn't connect with it, but I was around 10 years old and the spliced in movie scenes had no meaning to me. I think that's part of it. I did like All of Me. I thought that was great. Summer Rental was awesome as well as Summer School.

When I was a kid they showed reruns of the Dick Van Dyke show every day. Carl Reiner was a genius playing Alan Brady on that show. He was also the head writer.

But Rob Reiner directed Stand by Me and When Harry Met Sally. He has added value to the world.

Was it his decision to cast Meg Ryan as Sally? Because, if he wasn't, then he doesn't get credit for that movie.

Crazy to think he had moved into a more producer role on the Dick Van Dyke show. Think about it like that and you realize what a career this guy had.

He was great. His meathead son - not so much.

98 is a great run. What a life, Mel Brooks was his best friend, and his son was a meathead.

Rob Reiner did Spinal Tap, which makes him immortal in my book.
