Amen.

this is a pretty legit lineup. Love Hernandez' ability to make pitchers work and take pitches/get walks.

Sorely missed over the past several years.

Looking forward to that 13/14 feeling....on the cusp of something really good!

I’ve been telling friends that this feels like a 2013 season.

While I think this is probably a 72-75 win team, I guess that if all of the young pitchers continue to ascend and Bobby Witt, jr. shows up like an All Star out of the gate, maybe there’s a chance they could get the WC but it seems a year too early.

Hopefully, I’m wrong.

Definitely the most excited I've been for the Royals in several years.

It's awesome that they've brought back guys who were integral to those 14/15 runs like Davis, Holland, Dyson. Even more awesome that Davis seems to be regaining form.

I'm confident that the offense is playoff-worthy and defense should be solid. Just need a few pitchers like Duffy and Minor to play to their potential and it could be a pretty good year.

Why do they play Texas yesterday, Saturday, and Sunday, but not today?

They always leave an extra day on opening day. It allows for more teams to be in the spotlight and still have wiggle room for scheduling issues due to weather in colder climates like Boston and New York.

I could be wrong, but i think its been that way for as long as i can remember.Opening day on thursday and then never play the following friday, barring any bad weather.I have no idea why though.

I think they do this to make up a game if it gets rained out/snowed out on opening day, mainly teams that are located in the Midwest and Northeast of the country.

Yeah that makes sense.MLB season is so long it seems like they could start more towards the end of April, when its warmer anyway. But its been that way forever, they probably won't change it.
