I like him a LOT actually.

Also, Simi Fehoko is a similar receiver with basically the same size and skillset.

I go back and forth between wondering if Andy is intrigued by this type of receiver as we've brought in several FA's or UDFA's with this type of body or whether this type of body just isn't quick enough to execute in this offense.

I tend to think as we've become more and more vertical since the move to Mahomes that there's a spot for a big WR here.

It'd be nice, but when is he going to play?

I'd like to upgrade Hitchens too, but he's literally the QB of the defense, he lines everybody up. No rookie is going to take that spot.

And Gay we haven't given a chance yet, but I love the athleticism.

And that's 70% of the LB snaps right there.

When? Go back and look at how many snaps Niemann took last season. That’s when the new LB would play.

No, because Gay would take most of the planned snaps, and unless Hitchens misses time to injury, Niemann doesn't get those snaps this season either.

Niemann probably gets some snaps in base 4-3, but we're not in that but about 25-30% of the time.

So if you're talking a rookie LB, he'll get a slice of what is a max 30% of defensive snaps.

I'm not opposed to it, if he's your eventual Hitchens replacement, but realistically you're probably looking at 2023 for that.

Well in my mind....I’m drafting a LB in the 5th to 6th round, say a Buddy Johnson, and I’m replacing Hitchens after this season.

well, that's a tall order for that late a pick, but if it worked out that'd be cool.
