Hmm, I don't recall ever seeing this. Do you remember a specific instance?

I voted party line, Hardman, Pringle, Robinson, Gordon, Fountain. - but really I see the first three as nearly interchangeable. Pringle has made some great catches and seems to be more able to make himself available on scrambles. Hardmans speed contributes to our play calling. Robinson doesn't seem to get many targets. Gordman has been frustratingly nonproductive. Fountain hasn't been productive at all. Nobody really in the first tier (under Hill) really stands very far apart from the rest of the group.

2 is empty, lonely and just waiting for someone to take it.

Lots of 3s though, Pringle, Hardman, D Rob

Couple 4s Gordon, maybe he finally gets going and moves up, Fountain I have to believe if he was going to do anything he would have been moved up sooner given the gaping hole at 2 we have had all season.

It is painful watching other teams, makes me wonder why we are having such a hard time finding WRs. It seems like rookie and young WRs are everywhere but here.

Dallas is loaded, imagine having Gallup as your #3? Cedrick Wilson at #4
Pittsburgh loses Juju but still has Dionte Johnson and Claypool and James Washington...
Minnesota loses Diggs but Justin Jefferson easily replaces him then Thielan then they have another young stud that I cant remember right now.

Maybe its because I have been noticing it more with our lack of depth at WR.

Denver even has Sutton, Jeudy, Patrick. Damn

We need a Claypool, Deebo Samual, Justin Jefferson BIG Physical WR that can get open, make contested catches and take them to the house!

Patrick has never had one of those, of course Kelce but not at WR. No disrespect to Cheetah he is on his own level.

This franchise has a bad history with drafting receivers. Certainly in the 28 years I've been a fan. Bowe was good. Tyreek is great. So many busts in between. On the other hand, this franchise has been lucky with tight ends.

If you watch Andy's post-game presser, he said some wise things about how you have to design plays that give players a chance to do what they do well.

Seems like he understands that Hardman and Pringle are not full route tree guys, but can contribute if used the right way.

As far as affordability, it could be a blessing in disguise to have a couple guys that can be re-signed without earning a big pay jump on second contract.

If you have not watched Andy's post-game presser Sunday, I recommend watching. Seems like the coaches have resolved to coach this year's team for this year's games in a way that they may not have done earlier in the season.

The Chiefs tried in FA.

They failed to sign JuJu or Will Fuller.

Both were KC targets.

Fair.

Probably gonna have to either land someone or draft a receiver high this offseason though

Pringle is the best-smelling turd in the toilet, by far.

Because we have history, I'm going to give you a one-time pass on you talking slander about my man Daurice "City of" Fountain.

If I hear it again I will not be so forgiving.

Uhh... were you around during the preseason at all? I was on like a 48-hour Fountain-hating bender there for awhile. You must have missed it.

Sorry, bree. Maybe some day he'll rise to the level of Gehrig Dieter-type production with this team (2 career catches!) but until then he's on-again-off-again.

Might get a chance next year. We'll see.

I really thought we were going to have something with Sylvester Morris when he had that one breakout 100-yard game his rookie year. Then his knee/leg/whatever exploded and he was never the same, unfortunately.

Man, you know what's really crazy? Take the Chiefs' best drafted WRs from the past 30 years or so. We'll disagree on some of the choices, but I'll bet just about everybody has Hill and Bowe, and probably Dante Hall on there.

If that's the case, then 2 of the top 5 drafted WRs by the Chiefs from that period were RBs in college.

I'm going to agree with you somewhat. DRob and Gordon haven't made much of a splash, Hardman has his uses but doesn't run good routes. Pringle has good hands and is good size, but he doesn't seem to get open much. Fountain hasn't been productive because he's been on the PS.

JakeF 11-23-2021 01:28 PM

Pringle
Robinson
Hardman
Fountain

Gordon - NA, simply hasn't done enough to warrant a grade

Gravedigger 11-23-2021 01:33 PM

I've always like Pringle, outside of KState fandom, if we had a solid number 2 with Pringle as our number 3 we'd be flying high, and that's where Sammy Watkins helped bring us to the last few seasons, just sad Josh Gordon hasn't emerged yet.

Yeah. Then we drafted Marvin "Snoop" Minnis right after him.

Pitt Gorilla 11-23-2021 03:51 PM

I honestly can't do this. It kind of stinks how difficult it really is.
