Seems strange the one from a few years ago cuts off at 27 seconds... it would be nice to get the entire clip.

It's not like he said he's opposed to a 10 minute OT a few years ago, he was opposed to both teams being guaranteed one possession.... and then in the recent clip, said he would change it to a 10 minute OT and you play the full 10 minutes no matter what.

Yep, that's the dagger quote.

If you had listened further, he didn't like the Chiefs solution either - he's a proponent of a 10 minute quarter. So he hated the Chiefs solution then...and hates the current system now. He's made way too big a deal of this, but he's not really backing off what he has said previously.

Doesn't matter. He didn't want any changes in 2018. He only wants a change now because his favorite team got ****ed by a coin toss like we did in 2018.

ChiefBlueCFC 01-25-2022 11:21 AM

It's funny how the narrative changed when Brady was on the winning side... "play better defense... don't line up offsides... win a coin flip..."

RunKC 01-25-2022 11:23 AM

The OT rules should be changed. I’ve thought this ever since it happened to Mahomes in 2018 against Brady.

If Josh Allen won that coin flip our season would be over. That’s the truth.

Both teams should touch the ball. It’s a huge advantage for offenses in that scenario bc not only is the game changed to favor offense, but both defenses are gassed. They’re dead tired.

Keep the rules the same except the team that lost the coin flip gets a chance to get a TD if the team that won the coin flip gets a TD first

That is not correct. He did not want the particular change that the Chiefs were proposing. To suggest anything more is to put words in his mouth. I also get tired of his Bills mafia stuff, but you have to be intellectually honest on this stuff.

Except that wasn't his logic in the 2019 AFCCG when the Chiefs lost in OT.

Yeah, but if you do it only when it negatively impacts the team you root for, it makes you a hypocrite.

Fair - but I've always been against these rules. Funny now how Chiefs fans now DONT want the rule to change.

Both teams should get to possess the ball in overtime, period. Don't do it like college does, but you can make teams start further away and always go for two.

I really haven't seen anyone oppose a rule change.

We are throwing all the bullshit arguments back in the media's face.

He's a Bills fan first and Patriots apologist?

I get a sense that this is not the majority of Chiefs fans' opinion.

Furthermore, it shouldn't be - we have Mahomes, so it behooves us to guarantee him a possession.

His mouth produced the words clearly indicating that he thought if one team let the other drive 80 yards to score a TD, the former deserved to lose.
