Well, good for Derek Carr. That's a haul.

I do enjoy the GM/contract/cap part of constructing a team....its the only part that hasn't become ruined. Paying WRs $30 mil and fully guaranteeing contracts...how truly motivated are players going to become once they know they are financially set... regardless of performance? Will they start avoiding hits...the money is already in the bank. Will they train as hard as they used to? Complacency is a natural instinct once your needs are met.... |
It's probably the right move for the Faid. I wouldn't be thrilled with those numbers if I was a fan, but I think it's unlikely they'll find anything better if they dump him.

damn dude got paid, he's set for life.
And that's not even counting the endorsements from Mabelline. |

I know there are the troll fans that go, "Chiefs have a hole in the roster? If Mahomes weren't so greedy they could go fill it with a free agent" but I see that kind of thinking among analysts, too. "Uh oh here comes the expensive Mahomes years! Now it's coming! Now it's happening! Cut everybody on the team!" Can't wait until we get into the "expensive" part of the deal and Mahomes still has lower cap numbers than Dak, Rodgers, Watson, Allen, and possibly even a guy like Cousins if he keeps gouging the Vikings. |
Ha ha stupid Raiders.
|
I’m convinced the Raiders are overpaying for talent to make other better teams have to keep pace and thereby limit the talent on their own rosters. Carr throws a pretty long ball that gets home sometimes but that’s about it. When he has to step up and carry the team he folds nearly every time.
