Great news.

I can't wait to see how our new look offense better utilizes our OL.

Only 3 stick. Going 4 deep in the offseason in case someone gets hurt in camp?

Sounds like pacheco will get a shot to be the return man with Pringle gone. I could see them keeping 4 if he is the guy back there. I dunno.

Roster construction is going to be different this year as we are not going to ask much of our WRs to play special teams. Our LBs, DBs, and RBs will have to pick up the slack.

O.city 06-13-2022 10:36 AM

Any chance CEH would get cut?

Agreed.

Seems like it's him vs. Pacheco for the final RB slot and McKinnon was EASILY the best pure RB we had last year. He also demonstrated good pass-catching skills and solid Pass pro.

Durability is his biggest issue and we have the RB depth to deal with that.

And he's the kind of guy who is just as likely to get a soft-tissue hammy pull in practice as he is to blow his ACL on his 28th carry of a game. So when he's healthy, ride him. I'm not sure workload even matters with a guy like him.

So smoke it when you got it. I'd give Jones some 1st down work I guess, but 2nd and 3rd downs would be McKinnon until he breaks.

I'm just writing CEH off until he proves me wrong. He got EXCEPTIONAL run-blocking last year when you look up the 'expected YPC' figures. And he didn't even manage to get JAG level returns on it. He got less than his expected yards per carry. That's just damn rough.

If he takes the job back - bully. But I'm done counting on him for anything unless/until he forces my hand.

Not really - rookie deal is fully guaranteed so replacing him on the roster w/ Pacheco or McKinnon actually COSTS us cap space.

Maybe traded. But there's no cap benefit and ultimately I just can't see cutting him to keep a 7th rounder w/ lousy vision on the roster instead. But man, that would really demonstrate how bad that pick was, wouldn't it?

A little small to play DE but I like it.

He's just.....bleh...

I know injuries, etc etc.

He's a first round running back. Excuses are like assholes.

Hopefully Jerick doesn't feel too underutilized and demand a trade that's definitely, in no way at all, nope, no siree, not all about money, not even a little bit

Agreed.

On the middle part, I almost mentioned that we should keep him in bubble wrap until the playoffs; but I’m not sure it would matter. If he’s going to get hurt, he’s going to get hurt. We might as well ride him as far as we can.

It doesn’t look like we’ll have the luxury of holding anything back offensively throughout the season anyway.

ThaVirus 06-13-2022 10:41 AM

We could have Jonathon Taylor right now! Lol.

**** me, this offense would be so nasty.
