Guy earned an average of over $7m/year over 14 seasons from the NFL alone. I'm sure he made more off of endorsements as well.

Even assuming 45% of his earnings are taxed, fees for his agent, etc., he still had to have netted around $50m, no?

It's been a while but I'm pretty sure it was implied a financial handler took advantage of him. He was probably poor with money too. I think there was a story of him renting a giraffe for a party.
