They've been developing Buchele long enough. If he's not good enough to replace a 37 year old Henne at this point, then why are they wasting time on him? Either make him the number 2 or cut him loose.

He's ****ing awful, and let's be real, Henne was only okay for a game or two anyway, same as Buchele at this point, because if disaster strikes and Mahomes misses any significant partion of time, then the team won't go anywhere anyway.

Yes, serious. Henne had a pretty shitty game today. But he's also already proven multiple times to Reid that he can step in and be adequate in Mahome's absence. Reid isn't going to want a project for a backup QB to Mahomes. Not when you've got a reasonably proven vet that already knows the playbook and the team. Just stating what I think Reid will do, as he's typically been pretty predictable.

Henne won us the Browns game and made sure we got to go to back to back Super Bowls. He’s the backup for however long he wants

Buchele had an excellent preseason and one more year should slide him into #2.

I doubt anyone picks up Henne. If something happens to Mahomes, you could probably resign Henne if need be.

Agreed, we'll have to put him on the 53 though. We need that 3rd spot for defense or WR/TE

I agree, Henne is 37 , not mobile and not agressive, Beuchele has made some really nice throws this preseason. If he's playing with the 1's he should be a little better too.
