Elon will keep it running as long as he wants to keep it running. I just worry about what happens if he ever gets bored with it.

I don't know about that. The world might find out that 90% of Twitter employees can quit or be fired and that has no effect on the ability of people to keep on tweeting.

Seriously, how many people do you really need to run Twitter? If I bought it and it had 5000 employees, I'd fire 4500 of them. If a bunch quit during that process.....even better.

I hope Elon buys the FBI next.

Lol. Have you learned nothing in your lifetime? If you should be worried about anything, worry about Facebook. But don’t worry, these multi billion dollar companies will be perfectly fine.

Hopefully he buys CNN next.

Then Wolf Blitzer would actually have to play football.

I was on Twitter for 4-5 months back in 2009 due to a company I worked for making all the sales team join and I was the Sales Operations Manager. The marketing dept ran my account.

I never Tweeted once.

After the company folded, my account got hacked and some BOT tried using it to spam Malware. My account got locked and I never got it back.

Never rejoined.

If it dies...it dies...

Seriously, Musk is a dude who has more money than he knows what to do with. Maybe he bought Twatter so he could "fix it"...or maybe he just wants to kill it. He's kinda nutty, so who really knows...

I think the world will find out pretty quickly that many underappreciated staffers were there for a reason. We haven’t even gotten to the lawsuit portion of this play. Not just all the employment laws he broke. Which will be great without an he department. Good luck moderating content and complying with European regulations. Twitter will probably be fine but only because Elon will have no choice but to swallow his pride and get out at a huge loss.

Forums like this have taken a huge hit with social media. Out of the Tech, Life, Music, Baseball and Nintendo forums I was a part of in high school, it's amazing that this is the place that not only survived, but it still thriving (while outliving and far suprassing the Chargers, Raiders, and Bronco forum equivalents).

Cheers.

I take full credit along with my 2003 classmates for creating this institution, Long may she wave,,,,,, well until we all die off.

Twitter is actually great as long as you control your experience. It can get out of hand quickly because it’s hard to ignore the bots and trolls, and to get into the rabbit hole of engaging with it. Take the chiefs for example. Great way to get instant news and what other platform would have random strangers interacting with guys like kelce and mahomes? There’s a lot of good stuff there if you can stomach the 75% of it that’s a cesspool

He's lost $35 BILLION. I don't care how much money you have, that's got to hurt.
