They have one less loss in the conference so that last game could be for all the marbles.

Titans still have to go to Dallas in 2 weeks.

I said it when we played them - if Lawrence is on, that's actually a pretty good team. They don't have a lot of weaknesses, especially with a healthy Etienne and Zay Jones head screwed on straight.

In a lot of ways, Lawrence was holding them back. But as he's progressed this season, the team has looked much better.

Amazing the difference a good coach makes with his development.

Lawrence might be our best chance of a team knocking off BUF or CIN

Ideally Cincy beats Buffalo and we win out.

Then Cincy and Buffalo would have to go through one another to get to us. I’d rather not have to play both.

Ideally…

I like this team. I think it's a legit contender and one of 3 clear favorites to emerge from the AFC.

But it ain't beating Cincy AND Buffalo to get there. They just don't have that level of consistency in them and they have to pull too many levers correctly on defense to get the job done.

This isn't like the 2019 or 2020 squads where I was a little indifferent as to the seedings (especially with the 2020 squad). I figured those teams would get the job done against whoever they needed to.

This team can't emerge from the Bracket of Death. They just have a couple of fundamental flaws that would eventually create a stumble. They can beat either of those teams - but they won't beat both.

Hadn't even thought about it, but they do have a good shot at stealing the division. Looking at the schedules, I think there's a good chance they both finish 8-9 and Jacksonville wins the tiebreaker.

Jags/Titans for the division in the Week 18 Sunday Night Football game?

If they can beat either, they can beat both.

He was the the first scalp that Carson Wentz collected.

That 2020 season was a bit rough, but I never quite understood how Pederson went from a guy who was the toast of the town after winning a SB with a backup QB to some idiot rube because of one off year.

Doug's a quality coach and brought some stability and cache where it was DESPERATELY needed in Jacksonville. It isn't a lot different from Reid coming in here and stabilizing things in 2013.

They just needed some baseline competence and Pederson is providing that. That's enough for them to start developing talent and learning what they really have on the roster.

I believe there was rift between him and upper management on which way to go with the QB position. Didn't he sit Hurts and play the 3rd string QB last game of the season for some odd reason? The game had broader playoff implications for the opponent and some other teams as well I think.

That started some shit between him and FO I believe.

And now Lawrence is developing, literally all of the young franchise stud QB's sit in the AFC.

I assure you where I live mid western Kansas there are no Jaguars to watch out for, but I''ll be aware if I come across one. However we do have Cougars and I just got clawed and bit by one just the other night!. Fears animal she was digging her claws deep into my back and biting my chest. I thought she was going to devour me. Well she did devour Mr. Gargantuan but she gagged on it doing it. So watch out for Cougars!

I just looked at the standings. Wow, Jax is only 1 game back of Tenn in their division. Plus, they beat them once already. And the Titans have lost 4 straight. Would be hilarious if Tenn doesn't make the playoffs.

Paging Jeff.Fisher!

League sources say he's already hung himself wiht a gallon of antifreeze

Why Not? 12-19-2022 01:37 PM

Thursday Night is basically a playoff game. I don't think either teams are officially cooked with a loss but a win would be huge for both. Should be fun and will be nice to have something entertaining to watch during the shit storm headed our way Thursday.
