Another national tv game!

I won’t have to worrying about where I can watch it!

Not neccessarily. There are wild card games on Saturday the next week.

Chiefs need to just take care of business and win...the rest will take care of itself.

Good.

The season can end earlier than usual.

Onto 2023.

KC_Connection 01-01-2023 10:38 PM

Surprising they'd put the Chiefs on the Saturday. Potential advantage to the Bills knowing the outcome of that game now (and knowing whether they can rest Allen/others).

Gary Cooper 01-01-2023 10:38 PM

Imagine if you bought a ticket to fly into Vegas next Saturday afternoon/evening, expecting a Sunday game.

There shouldn't be any Saturday games, period, in week 18.

KC_Connection 01-01-2023 10:39 PM

Also, it really potentially helps the Patriots. Miami should be PISSED.

That's ridiculous if that's what they did. The games should be at the same time.

Though if Cincinnati wins, they can still become the top seed, if both Buffalo and Kansas City lose in week 18.

There's a very obvious scenario here if the Bills lose tomorrow where the Bills purposely tank/rest against the Pats to avoid playing the Dolphins in the WC round (who should have had them beat two weeks back). Will be embarrassing for the NFL.

The Dolphins are on their 3rd string QB.

I thought for sure the Jags would play Sunday night. It’s the only one not contingent on other outcomes while also still being a win and in scenario. It really makes no sense to not have them. Now whoever is playing Sunday night, there’s a decent chance one team has nothing to play for.

suzzer99 01-01-2023 10:47 PM

There was a scenario where if the Bills win out before the Chiefs played, the Chiefs could have been locked into the #2 seed and rested their starters.

But that's not happening now.

Seems like the league is basically banking the Chiefs will win. They'll probably put Bills/Pats on Sunday night. That will probably be a huge game for both teams.

For now, yes. Probably not if they get in.

Agreed. Bills would have no issue losing that game against them for that reason (assuming a loss to the Bengals tomorrow).
