I dunno. TV will pay him twice the money for 50% less hours of work compared to coaching. Easier job, more money, more time to boink the super hot wife.

McVay’s annoying voice on TV… God help us.

Like I said, just a guess on my part. But you watch his post game pressers after Stafford hurt his neck, and before Baker came to them, he looked/sounded halfway to retirement. After, it was like he got a shot of adrenalin.

Donald and Stafford both have one foot in retirement as is. McVay is simply catching the "forget this" bug. Still shocking though. Dude is use to winning.

I knew a coach once who inherited an excellent team his first year as a HS head coach. He coached them up on JV in previous years. However, the drop off was steep the next year. After a couple of years his heart wasn't in it anymore. He couldn't do it just out of the love for coaching. So he walked away.

McVay sees Mahomes, Allen, and Burrow. He knows.

Why would he stick around and win 5 games per season for the next 3 years? That team is a disaster. They went all in for a Super Bowl, and it worked, but it fell apart way sooner than expected. They'll be paying the consequences for years.

Not sure there's any coach that could win there the next few seasons.

With no draft picks. He could always go to the Broncos and , oh wait, that would be worse. LMAO

This feels more like a madden situation where he just doesn’t love the game as much anymore. Just because you’re good at coaching doesn’t mean you want to devote decades of grueling work. He’s got money, can get a cooshy job and has a ring. Can’t blame him for walking away. Meantime I’d love to see kroenke swim in mediocrity for a good while. And for the nfl to finally see how little that market cares about this team when they’re not winning.

You're the head coach of the defending Champs, and you want out why... because you're now in cap hell?

Maybe its just me but if I'm an owner we're not taking applications from quitters, Sean

He will take a few years off until conveniently he regains the itch. The year Andy retires.

Stryker 01-07-2023 08:41 PM

Whatever. The RAMS have gone from glory to the glory hole. Not our problem. Crash and burn LA Rams

scho63 01-07-2023 08:43 PM

If he can get out of LA, that's the smart move. Go make bank on TV for a year and assess at the end of 2023.

Spend 75% of all the free time banging that hot wife.
