Would be hilarious if this was actually some low key shot at the Raiders for the time they did a victory lap around the stadium a few years ago but I doubt Reid is that petty

Reid is beautifully petty against division rivals. The Poe Touchdown pass disrespected the entire city of Denver and they tried something similar with Saunders today.

Good call on the Herbert Pick 6. That was a 14 point swing in a single play. Biggest play of the season!

It was that moment that made me realize maybe this draft class is legit because that was a 7th round pick essentially making a game winning play. The rookies were a big part of a 14 win #1 seed think about that for a second

The SD pick 6

A few things I’ve enjoyed:

1. Rookies contributing all over the place. Just an incredible draft for the Chiefs.
2. McKinnon asserting himself as a terrific receiving option and play maker.
3. About anything that Toney does. Some guys just look different on the field.
4. Mahomes will play for 10 years after Kelce, but that duo will be remembered as something special. Hard to imagine a better QB-TE duo than them.
5. Linebacker play. Some coverage issues, but we haven’t had linebackers like this in a long time.
6. Jones further cementing himself as a star. Best DT in the game today.
7. Making a long term decision to free up cap space and gain draft capital by trading one of the best players in the game…only to be a better team immediately as well.

No. 7 is what is going to keep this franchise at the absolute top of the mountain for at the very least another 5 years.

A lesser GM who was insecure in their talent evaluation skills might have caved and given in to all of Tyreek's demands.

Big Balls Brett Veach put on his shades, looked the most dangerous weapon in the NFL right in the eyes and said, "Nah we're good." and walked away.

With Mahomes and Reid, we will always be good. But that move right there is going to allow the rest of this roster to be Super Bowl caliber for another half decade.

Yes. I was sweating bullets and shitting bricks during this game. I wanted it SO BAD I stayed off social media completely and just watched it like I was 12.

The most enjoyable non-live Chiefs game for me since the walkoff win in Los Angeles last season.

A close second is the 49ers game this season.

I had a shit ton of fun making that video, and that felt like one of the greatest "Maestro Mahomes" moments ever. He ascended to a new plane of quarterbacking greatness that day, and he did it in Joe Montana's city. That was a special day we won't forget for awhile.

This moment gets bronzed if we beat the Bengals in the postseason.

A symbol.

- I went to the Cards game in Phoenix, so that whole weekend was great, meeting CPers and just a feel good way to start the season.

- I was traveling during the Chargers game... watched the first half from the Phoenix airport, then started the 2nd half in baggage claim, then finally finished it at an Airbnb.... and that pick 6 was a fist-pump moment hours after starting the game.

- The TD flip in the Bucs game.

- Making Cheffers cry.

- Toney hopping into the end zone.

- Another Kelce dagger against the Chargers.

- Taking control of the Bengals game (prior to the fumble, of course). Felt like they were fine at halftime, after the weird start, then they come out at halftime and score in the first few minutes.... it was just one of those times of really enjoying a heavyweight match up, before it all went to shit.

- The rubgy/flip/whatever against the Broncos

- And being locked in tonight, flipping that switch into playoff mode.

I think the Chargers Kelce game toward the end wins out this year but it is a tough call.

I also think the Chargers have to hang up his jersey in their Hall of Fame. He has just been that devastating to them he has to be honored.

After reading this, it's pretty much what I was thinking, so why recreate something. It was fun to get the 6-0 sweep of the division and prove all the pundits wrong. I also love me some Veach, his track record continues, he could be HOF worthy, not hyperbole either...

RunKC 01-07-2023 09:50 PM

49ers game was the best of the season followed closely by the Brady sun in Tampa.

Jeffrey Simmons talking shit about our OL and then proceeding to kick his ass on national TV was great.

Both Chargers games were great too.

Arizona was the most underrated. That was just a fun ass game for us
