Given their history of dirty plays in the two times we played them, I’d say that it may not have been intentional, but they weren’t trying to avoid injury. The very next drive they tried to knock Henne out of the game and got called for roughing the passer, so obviously they felt that was the only way to stop our offense.

AT full speed, it's really hard to say one way or the other. In slo-mo, I could be convinced it was dirty.

I don't think it was illegal.
I do think it was dirty. It's the kind of borderline play that's technically within the rules, but you sure don't mind seeing that guy get launched into the stratosphere next time he's around the football. Key took another run at Henne in that game as well. I believe it was a shot to the head after the throw was out. Frankly I wish we'd have run a little it of a high/low on the guy or run Smith on a pull right at him just to give him a few bruises for his troubles. You can't let a guy play on the edge like that for an entire game. |
Dirty team. Remember what they did when we played them earlier in the year.

I rewatched the play 3-4 times in slow motion, and the defender was looking down as he positioned his leg on Mahomes, then back up after he "accidentally" fell on Mahomes. If it wasn't deliberate, it sure as hell appeared to be intentional since that's where his head and eyes were focused during the hit.

I saw nothing deliberate in it.

When I seen it live, I didn’t think it was intentional at all. The more replays people make me watch, it does look a shade dirty

I sure the **** don't want to play in a dome on artificial turf next week.
That can't be good on ankles. Kelce hates artificial turf. More injuries. |
I would give the benefit of doubt it was accidental except for the fact that team is one of the dirtiest teams in the league and proved it both times we played. Based on that, I would be tempted to say it was purposeful intent.

It was dirty. He looked down where his ankle was and dropped down right on it. Dirty AF team.
