he deserves it

He doesn't seem like the type that needs to reset the market. I bet he gets his, but it's also a team friendly deal.
His cap hit is 28 million next year. I imagine we try to extend him for another 4-5 years in the off-season. |
My heart says this guy never leaves KC. My GM mind says wow... $28 million goes off the books if you do nothing. Hmm...
Franchise tag seems to be in play. I think the money begins with Mahomes's blind side protector, Orlando Brown. Both will likely want $25 million. Paying both is a huge pill to swallow. One thing is for sure, Veach has a plan. Let's win the SB for Andy first. Ultimate revenge. |

A loooooot of tread left on those tires *knock on wood* Would rather have the player than the draft picks. |
This is a guy that got a big payday and has actually gotten better. You pay the guy and you keep him. As amazing a performance that Mahomes had, if it weren’t for Jones we probably don’t win this game.
|
Jones made it clear. He is a Chief. He felt the disrespect for the stadium when they called it Burrowhead, and he wasn’t going to tolerate it.
|
They were moving him to both the inside and outside positions tonight to work the mismatches. And it was working. Again, despite the double teams. Dude called out Burrowhead before the game, and absolutely backed it up on the field with authoritie.

/Things I'll worry about after we win the Super Bowl
|
I remember when people called him "business decision" for being out for a wild card game.
|
They may have to pay him $3 million an inch per year.

Who cares were going to the super bowl
