Ha, yep, agreed

We should want the teams we see as our playoff competition to sign him to a big multi-year deal. He has very little chance to stay healthy the whole season, so it's cap space that very likely won't be helping them come playoff time.

Balto 03-10-2023 08:17 PM

Makes sense KC was at OBJs workout……they had some free time while Hopkins was collecting some things to meet at the airport.

Indian Chief 03-10-2023 08:17 PM

I'm.not concerned with whether he looks good right now. I'm concerned with him staying healthy over the course of the season.

BWillie 03-10-2023 08:17 PM

Will he take a 1 yr 9 M deal? Nope.

poolboy 03-10-2023 08:20 PM

**** that, I hope they win the bidding war. I’m not scared of Buffalo, with or without ODell. Our corners would lock him down. I don’t want him, he’s broken. We need to go younger and not a brokedick. I’d love to see Buffalo swing for the fences again to watch it blow up in their faces like Von. Sneed might put him back on IR again. I’d rather have Lazard than him. Don’t want DHop either. We can do better, and those aren’t Veach moves. We’re not a WR away from a ring, we just won one. We’re a LT away from owning the league!

No stone left unturned.

Id rather the Chiefs sign this dude than trade for Hopkins. Likely similar costs contract wise but this has zero trade compensation attached.

Rainbarrel 03-10-2023 08:57 PM

Represented was probably someone's 12 year old in Mahomes jersey

Go to youtube and remined yourselves of what OBJ has done in this league. Go watch him in the SB before telling me he's cooked. Please, before you say anything else.

Reports are that he tore his ACL in the SB due to a bad 1st surgery, and this 2nd surgery is suppose to correct it. So he should be good to go. Gotta trust the Chiefs docs, if they say he's good, he's good.

In his prime, he was better than prime Hopkins, and i think Hopkins is a modern Chris Carter. Both are sensational players. And even with some likely skill erosion he's STILL a great WR. Generational talents tend to age well, even when they decline.

He's exactly the kind of player you want on an incentive laden 1-2 year deal.

The only question is if he would take that because he's surely angling for the biggest payday.

And i understand his health history hasn't been great these last 3 years. But that's why he doesn't cost a 2nd round pick like Hopkins, and can hopefully come on incentive based deal.
